GARAGE SHELVING
What kind of warranty do the shelves have?
The Monkey Bars shelving we offer are covered by a lifetime warranty.
What material is the shelving system made of?
The Monkey Bars shelving is built with a powder-coated, industrial-grade steel.
What additions can be made to the shelving?
The shelving systems are designed to adapt to a variety of add-ons and modification. We offer many options for hooks and bars, along with hooks and bars. To learn more about the options, visit the Gorgeous Garage website.
What is the weight capacity of shelving?
Our shelving units are rated to hold 1,000 lbs of weight per section.
GARAGE CABINETS
How long will these cabinets last?
We construct our cabinets to last for years. We also offer a lifetime warranty on Signature Series cabinets.
How tall and deep can I order my cabinets?
Our cabinet systems are custom-ordered for each customers, so sizes and shapes are unique to each customer. The Signature Series is offered in depths from 12″ to 24″ and can be up to 91″ high and 48″ wide. Classic Series cabinets can be up to 83″ high and 36″ wide, with depths of 16″ and 24″.
What are the garage cabinets made of?
Cabinets are built from thermal-fused laminate and are held together with strong wooden dowels and screws. Melamine can come in several colors and patterns. These materials won’t rot or warp over time, like many other cabinet systems. They are moisture-resistant.
Why are the garage cabinets mounted up off the floor?
The garage cabinets are wall mounted to protect them from water damage. It also makes maintenance and cleaning your garage easier.
OVERHEAD RACKS
What types of overhead racks are there?
Two. We offer a standard stationary option and a motorized one.
How much weight do the overhead racks hold?
Standard racks can hold 750 lbs when free-standing and 1,000 lbs when one side is mounted to a wall. Motorized racks can hold 350 lbs.
What items are best stored on overhead racks?
Items that you won’t use as frequently, such as as winter gear, camping equipment or holiday decorations are perfect for overhead storage. They’re out of the way for most of the year, but easily accessible when you need them.
What are the differences between motorized overhead racks and normal racks?
Motorized racks move up and down, making access much easier, especially for people who may have a hard time climbing or reaching up high. Standard racks can only be accessed by a ladder, but they hold significantly more weight.
How the motorized overhead racks work?
The rack itself is attached to a pulley system and four independant motors, which raise and lower the rack. The system is controlled by a phone app.
What are the overhead storage racks made out of?
Like the Monkey Bar shelving, overhead racks are made with thick powder-coated steel.
GARAGE FLOORING
How long does a floor installation take?
We offer two types of floor coatings, which can be installed in one or two days. Floor tiles only require a few hours.
Does everything have to be out of the garage during the floor installation?
Yes, we need the interior cleared prior to installation.
What is the difference between polyurea coatings and epoxy coatings?
Epoxy coatings protect the base concrete. It’s extremely durable, but all epoxy will eventually fade and yellow if it’s exposed to direct sunlight over time. Polyurea coatings are much more durable and long-lasting than epoxy. This type of coating is resistant to damage from the sun, and won’t fade over time. It’s resistant to most liquids, including water and oil, and is much more environmentally friendly.
When can I start using my new floor?
Generally, everything is finished within 1-2 days. Our polyurea coatings can be used the day after installation, due to their fast-drying properties.
Is the floor covering slippery?
Garage floor tiles are made with a mix of plastic and rubber compounds, making it very safe when wet. The floor coatings are impervious to liquids, and therefore can be slippery at times. We add a layer of chips to give the coating more texture. This helps combat the slipperiness, but we can also add a special anti-slip product to the topcoat if you wish for an extra charge.
How do I clean my new floor?
Our coatings are resistant to liquids, so water, oil and most chemicals can be easily wiped away when spilt. Dirt and debris can be swept up with a bristle broom, mop or light pressure wash.
Are the resins used harmful to me or the environment?
No. Although some epoxy kits can emit harmful byproducts, our polyurea coatings have a high solids content, which means there are fewer solvents and VOCs.
Does the floor scratch?
No, our coatings are resistant to damage after they fully cure.
Does the flooring leave a smell?
No.
Does flooring come with a warranty?
Yes. Our polyaspartic floors have a limited 10 year warranty.
PROCESS: FROM START TO FINISH
What happens when I fill out a Contact Form?
When you fill out a Contact Form, our system sends your contact information directly to one of our team members. We will try to get ahold of you as soon as possible, generally through a phone call. We will attempt to reach you a couple of times, but we won’t continue to spam you with messages or calls if you aren’t reachable after a few tries.
How long do the in-home consulations take?
Typically, a session lasts between 45-75 minutes, depending on what is discussed.
Do I get the estimate during the consultation?
During the consultation, we’ll give you an idea of what to expect. Once our consultant has had a chance to input that information into our estimating software, you’ll be emailed a detailed estimate along with a 3D model of the remodelled garage.
How long is a typical installation?
The time can vary greatly depending on the project. Your consultant will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Do you charge for in-home consultations or estimates?
All our consultations and estimates are free of charge.
Do you have a showroom or storefront I can visit?
No. We prefer to meet with customers in their garage in order to look at what you are needing to store and look at options.
Can I install Gorgeous Garage products myself?
As a general rule, no. Our professionals have each been trained to install these products properly to ensure you have no problems with them in the future. We include installation with the price of the products.
Do you operate on the weekend for estimates or installations?
Yes. We do work on Saturdays at times.
Are you an accredited and insured company?
We are fully insured.
MISCELLANEOUS
Does the price of the product include installation?
Yes. All quotes are given as the installed price.
Will the consultant give me a design, or do I tell him/her what I want?
Our goal is to make your vision a reality. In order to do this, our consultant will meet with you in person to give you all the information you need, and listen to your ideas. Then, depending on your space and budget, we work with you to create the design.
Do I move my stuff out of the garage? Or do move it out for me?
Yes, although we charge an hourly rate for moving stuff in and out. However, we are not responsible for any loss or damage to customer property that is in our way or what we move.
Does it matter if I get flooring or storage first?
No. Unless you get both at the same time, order doesn’t matter.
If I’m moving, do I have to leave my storage system behind?
